The Pygo the Penguin series is the first in a series on climate change so that kids can help adults figure out the right things to do based on science. Keep an eye out for future books, teacher guides, animation, a song and other fun educational support! This approach is a fun and hopefully useful complement to my decades of work on climate change issues across sectors and across the world.

The other books are "Big Ideas for Little People" along with the adults in their lives. Let me know what you think about them!

The Light
of the
Dust Mites

Mini and her family are dust mites who live in a world invisible to humans. Life is so comfortable, they never leave their home until one day everything is turned topsy-turvy. When they suddenly are surrounded by strangers who have different ideas, there is mistrust and uncertainty. Even when an amazing truth is revealed, many still think only their ideas are valid until they experience that truth directly.

This book can be a comfort in our own world, showing how we can discover unity in diversity. By learning from those who are different, our minds can be enlightened and our lives enriched.

The Kingdom of Tides

Like most kids, Alexander loves making art of all kinds. He gets such positive feedback from his family, friends and school (so many prizes!), he wants to keep them all! Forever! Fortunately for everyone, an intervention comes in the form of an old fairy tale, The Kingdom of Tides, in which King Shivo and his people learn a lot about creativity with the help of the Moon. The Kingdom of Tides can be a source of practical (à la Marie Kondo) and metaphysical inspiration for the young and not so young to find joy in creating every day.

The
Grumpy Pilgrims

Have you ever experienced a painful, terribly long and uncomfortable trip with your family? Well, 400 years ago in 1620 the Pilgrim children had it MUCH worse! Their 66 day voyage across the ocean was completely miserable, and when they arrived, their lives were still unexpectedly awful! They had many good reasons to be GRUMPY! Yet after a while, many unexpected good things also happened. The Grumpy Pilgrims is a story we can all relate to, giving us permission to feel grumpy when merited at times, while encouraging us to look out for surprises that give our lives meaning and real joy.

Happy Mayflower 400th Anniversary!
